Little Rock police are actively investigating an armed robbery incident that escalated into a shooting on Wednesday. New details have emerged, shedding light on the sequence of events and the individuals involved in the incident.

Incident Details: 

The incident took place at the Bank of America on Geyer Springs Road, where officers responded to news of a shooting just before 8 a.m. 

According to the police report, Chad Green is identified as the suspect who allegedly attempted to rob an armored truck driver at a bank ATM.

Eyewitness Account: 

Upon arrival at the scene, officers interviewed the Loomis armored truck driver, who recounted the events leading up to the shooting. 

The driver reported that Green maced him during the attempted robbery, prompting him to fire shots at Green in self-defense. Despite being wounded, Green fled the scene on his bike, later transitioning to his vehicle.

Subsequent Events: 

Green contacted dispatchers while on Interstate 430 near Rodney Parham Road, where he was eventually located by Arkansas Game and Fish and Arkansas State Police officers. 

Green was found in his car, partially blocking traffic, and reported that he had been shot. He was subsequently hauled to a nearby hospital for emergency treatment and is currently in stable condition.

While Green’s identity and workplace have been confirmed, individuals familiar with him declined to provide interviews, citing concerns about the situation’s unusual nature. 

Friends and family have expressed concern about Green’s mental state leading up to the incident, highlighting the unexpected nature of his actions.

Investigation Status: 

requests for bodycam footage have been denied by AGFC officials, citing an ongoing criminal investigation.
