Bakersfield Stars of Life Shine Bright at California’s State Capitol

Bakersfield, California – In a proud moment for Bakersfield’s emergency medical services community, five dedicated individuals from HALL Ambulance were honored today at the state capitol. 

Paramedic Sarah Dresser, Paramedic Field Supervisor Jason Achterberg, Assistant Manager Heather Lee, EMT Shannon Agacoili, and EMT Anthony Pena are shining examples of patient care commitment and outstanding career accomplishments in 2023.

A Day of Celebration and Recognition:

The day began with a heartfelt breakfast celebration, followed by a dignified medal presentation on the state capitol steps. 

Representatives from HALL’s 911 response area had the opportunity to meet with legislators, emphasizing the crucial role played by emergency medical services in the community. 

The festivities culminated in an awards dinner, where the Stars of Life honorees were publicly recognized for their exceptional contributions.

Amidst the celebrations, rumors circulated about the iconic Bakersfield restaurant Relax! Mexicali, potentially selling its property. 

However, the company’s Chief Operating Officer swiftly dispelled any concerns, reassuring patrons that the beloved establishment has no plans to change ownership or relocate in the foreseeable future.
