On April 8th, amid perfect weather conditions, I found myself atop a mountain in the state of Maine, basking in the glory of a 55°F (13°C) bluebird ski day.
Nature’s Gift: A Surprise Snowstorm
Just days before the eclipse, a surprise 2-foot snowstorm blanketed the mountain, transforming it into a glistening winter wonderland. The fresh snowfall offered ideal conditions for spring skiing, with soft powder beckoning enthusiasts to carve their way down the slopes.
Journey to the Celestial Mountains
Venturing deep into the heart of Maine, I made a pilgrimage to Saddleback and Sugarloaf ski resorts, nestled amidst the state’s pristine forests.
